FAQ
Questions people ask before they sign up
If yours is not here, send it through the contact page and we will answer it directly.

Does it understand how people really talk?
Yes — everyday spoken language, not textbook phrases. Call any demo agent on this site and speak the way you normally would. If the caller switches language mid-call, the agent switches too.
Which languages are supported?
English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and French, for both the website and the voice agents. The recording notice is spoken in the caller’s language.
Can I try it before signing up?
Yes. Every demo agent on this site is live. A demo call runs in your browser for up to three minutes and never dials a phone number.
Will it make things up?
It answers from your knowledge base and the facts in your agent pack, and it only quotes prices it has been given. When it does not know, it says so and offers a person. Every call is scored on exactly this afterwards.
What happens when a caller wants a human?
The agent hands over. Complaints, medical questions, negotiations and anything you mark as out of scope go to your team; emergencies are directed to the local emergency services.
Do I need a phone number from you?
Phone-line connection is still being set up. Right now you can test agents in the browser and run WhatsApp reminders; once lines are live you can forward your existing number or take a new one from us.
Does it follow data-protection rules?
It is built to respect data-protection and call-recording rules: a purpose notice on first contact, a recording notice on every call, do-not-call honoured at once, and data sources you can trace. You control your customer data. The rules that apply depend on where you operate, so check them for your business. Our privacy policy and recording notice have the details.
Can it call people on its own?
Not by default. Outbound calls and messages are off until you allowlist numbers and a person approves the list. A platform-wide kill switch stops everything if needed.
How are collections calls kept fair?
No threats, no implied legal action, no disclosure to third parties, calls only between 09:00 and 21:00, exact amounts only, and an immediate stop when asked. These rules are checked in code and in the QA score, not left to a prompt.
What does it cost?
Plans are priced by call minutes rather than seats; launch pricing is indicative until confirmed at sign-up. See the pricing page.
Where is my data stored and who sees it?
Your customer database stays on CallTex infrastructure, under your control. AI infrastructure providers act as our data processors under data-processing terms; they receive only the audio and text needed to handle the call and may not use it to train models. That processing may take place outside the country where you or your callers are. Demo-call audio is not used for anything else.
How is this different from a phone robot or an IVR menu?
There is no menu to press through. The agent listens, answers in the caller’s own words and does the job — books, checks facts, hands over — the way a receptionist would. You can hear the difference on any demo agent on this site.
